A chat box on your site lets visitors message you. Their chats arrive in the same inbox as your other channels.
Add it
- 1Open Sites. In the row along the top, click Chat Widget.
- 2This is your library of chat widgets. Press New.
- 3Choose the kind of chat. Live chat lets visitors message you in real time, and their messages arrive in your inbox.
- 4Open Appearances to pick a chat icon and a colour theme. The Chat window tab holds the greeting and the details you ask visitors for. Name and email are enough.
- 5Press Save to keep your changes, then press Get code at the top.
- 6Press Copy. Paste the code into your site, in the body or footer box, before the closing body tag. Most site builders have a "custom code" or "footer" box for this.
- 7Open your site in a private window. The chat button should show. Send a test message and check it reaches your inbox.
